  • Druckmann Confirms The Last of Us Movie is Game Adaptation

Instead of completely new story in the same post-apocalyptic universe, The Last of Us will be a movie adaptation of a story that is told through the players the game itself.

-Naughty Dog creative director Neil Druckmann, who wrote the script for the previously announced The Last of Us movie, has confirmed that the film is actually re-tell the story from the award-winning game.

-Talking to IGN during last night's BAFTA Game Awards 2014, at which The Last of Us picked up five awards, Druckmann began by clarifying the upcoming The Last of Us movie will be an adaptation of the game, though how it'll be realised is unclear.

-"Its an adaptation of the story of The Last of Us," he confirmed. "As far as where we go and how we make it fit into a film, how it takes into account the unique properties of film... Were not sure yet. Were only just scratching the surface."
