HD Icons not changing with Themes

When I change themes, the HD Icons will not change with each theme, they stay the same. The bars that show the amount of space on each HD changes, but the HD Icons themselves do not. Any ideas? Thanks in advanced.

Well, what I posted only effects Desktop Icons. To change hard drive Icons, each theme will have to have it's own set of complete icons. This is rare. I have a Icon Pack installed so all of my themes use the same icons. I suppose you maybe able to place an ICO in the themes settings under C:\windows\Resources\Themes\XXXXXX.

The more I look the more that I find that this has to be done with the 3rd party theme. That may not even do it for HD's as all I see are Desktop Icon changes.

and you need to be patient and wait we don't stay on 24hrs. not all themes change the icons you want.

Just got here a little late, but yes you can change your drive icons that are visible in the Explorer window. But be advised that it is NOT done by changing your custom themes (Like beagleman also mentioned above). Sometimes the custom theme package will Have SYSTEM icons included, but the DRIVE icons have to edited as described below...




It is done either manually, or with a 3rd party app like the one that Gary mentioned above.
That 3rd party app can be download [HERE].

The other way is to manually edit your registry. If you are comfortable doing this, take a look at this real easy to follow tutorial over at 7forums [HERE].

Useally the icons have to be added seperatly bud :) do you got a screenie or a link so i can check the pack if there is a iconpack in the theme pack?
