  • Timedate.cpl Quick Change-updated

As requested here is a simple .bat that will install a the new timedate.cpl that comes with most custom themes.
As it is probably not a good idea to just blindly run a .bat file that you downloaded from the internet, here is what
is in it and a brief description of what it does.

    OK now here is how to use it;

    That's it pretty simple!
A couple of things to note
1-As with any time you change system files you should make a Restore Point first.
2-I didn't include a way to restore the default clock clock so you may want to may a copy of it first.
3-The .bat time stamps and backups your current time.cpl before adding the new one so if you run the .bat
a few times you will end up with a lot of backups in your System32 folder so you might want to go in and
    delete them every so often.

I think that's it, if you have questions just ask.

    Information
IMPORTANT: You only need to change the "timedate.cpl" from your the System32 folder, not in the SysWOW64 folder if you are running 64bit architecture.

The install .bat has now been updated to work on Windows 7,8,8.1 and 8.1.1!
This new .bat was created by @Mr351837:, thanks for all your hard work in creating this!
Same as before, place the timedate.cpl you want to use in the folder with the bat
and run the "replace" bat as administrator.
Also now included is a "revert" bat. This will put your timedate back to the one you were
using before you ran the "replace" bat

Glad to see this one Greg. Very helpful today, +Rep coming your way bud..
Only question right now would be do you have to log off or restart? Judging from your screens it just needs to restart Explorer, right?
OK, another observation. In your 4th screen you show you new timedate dial, but it also looks like the window has a new texture. Is that from the timedate mod, or the theme mod?

                    Re: Timedate.cpl Quick Change

Does this work on 64 Bit Windows 7? I tried it and it removed my clock altogether . I got it back thanks to YN1F ( I found some backups that he made) . Looking at your script I see nothing that mentions syswow64? @gsw953:

it was made and tested on Windows 7 Ultimate sp1 64 bit,It is alsoused in my ICS theme's auto installer and in the Spirit themes by Faizalotai which have been out for almost 2 years, with none
reporting any issues. The lonely reason I can think of as to why this wouldn't work are that you tried to use a timedate not meant for your system. It doesn't mention syswow64 because there is not
need to change anything it that folder.
